The ResOrtho Foundation has the following main focuses of its engagements: Balgrist CampusThe ResOrtho Foundation and the Balgrist Association founded Balgrist Campus AG. The purpose of Balgrist Campus AG is to develop a building for musculoskeletal research and development in the area of land directly in front of University Hospital Balgrist. The board of directors of Balgrist Campus AG is composed of representatives of the ResOrtho Foundation as well as of the board of the Balgrist Association. President of Balgrist Campus AG is Dr. J. Rappold, foundation council member of the ResOrtho Foundation. » more Balgrist Shoulder-FellowshipResOrtho finances a one-year shoulder fellowship post with Prof. C. Gerber in his shoulder/elbow team for the orthopaedic University Hospital Balgrist in Zurich. The fellow receives advanced clinical and surgical training on the one hand, and also scientific training on the other, with the handling of individual questions within the specialty. Support of Scientific ProjectsResOrtho supports clinical and experimental scientific projects in Orthopaedics mostly conducted by employees of Uniklinik Balgrist and/or in cooperation with ETH (Federal Institute of Technology) of Zurich.
Sponsorship of the individual academic careerResOrtho supports young gifted Orthopaedists by educational grants for training abroad in order to gain exceptional clinical or scientific knowledge with the hope to thereby pave the way for an academic career.
