To be considered a reputable training center, knowhow and infrastructure are vital. Future top surgeons usually seek a post for a one-year fellowship with renowned specialists, e.g. in shoulder surgery.
An educational grant for an individual recruited internationally is not possible out of the regular University Hospital budget. The ResOrtho Foundation is convinced it will make a meaningful contribution to the development of shoulder surgery with this support, and will enable the sponsoring of a one-year shoulder fellowship at University Hospital Balgrist with Prof. C. Gerber.
